10 Months

What a nugget! I call her my golden nugget- because they don't make babies better than this girl. Kate is crawling, climbing, stealing her brothers toys, babbling, dancing and singing in the car. She has an infectious giggle. She totally wants to be a big kid. She can be found hanging with the big kids whenever there are any around. She loves her mom (what can I say?) and adores her brother. She has a natural combover that could make Donald Trump jealous! My favorite features are her pretty blue eyes, and I adore her little mouth. She also has great cheeks and legs. Can I brag any more? Seriously, I love this little girl and I am loving the phase she is in. Next is walking, talking, and other great things, but I love her cuddly, chubby, funny self just the way she is right now.

The boy and his scooter

Evan got this scooter for his birthday, and he has been a scooting madman ever since. He's really good and super fast (he'll vouch for that!). I love this picture because it took him a little while to figure out how to hold his foot up and ride. It was very deliberate for a long time, he kind of looked like an ice skater on a scooter. He's got it down pat now and he rests his little foot on the back and uses his brake. Now on to the bike!

First Day of Preschool

Evan started preschool! He loves it! I love it! I was so nervous the night before wondering if he would like it, if he would freak out, or if he would come home saying naughty words. So far I am the only one doing any of those things. He goes to Bright Beginnings Preschool and he loves his teachers Miss Lynn and Miss Amanda. They do all sorts of fun things like Pajama parties, ride your bike at school, they even went to a movie. It fun to see him be so excited and looking forward to going to school.

Father's Day 2010

These are the worst pics EVER, but it's all I've got! We had a great Father's day with presents, church and then up to Chris and Anna's for a feast.

Mornings at our house

I love these pics of my kids! I love that Kate is so much fun to interact with because now when she's not defending herself, she is LOVING her big brother. He thinks he is so awesome when she cracks up at all of the inane stuff he does! A little bedhead, dirty clothes and a toothbrush makes a good morning around here!

Did your morning start like this?

This conversation takes place while I'm lying in bed trying to wake up.
Evan-"Mom, I don't like chocolate."
Me- O.K. pause "where did you get chocolate?"
Evan- "It's from a nola bar."
Me- "Paul did you give Evan a granola bar?"
Paul- "no."
Me- "Oh crap, that's not chocolate."
