Flight

This is Kate playing with dad. I thought for sure he would take it easier on a girl-not the case- and she loves it!

Southern Reminders

We have a Magnolia tree in our complex- every spring it reminds me of the beauties of the south. It reminds me of my days in Alabama and all the good memories that are associated with it.

Baby (No I'm not having one!)

Kate is obsessed with babies. If she see's a stroller she will run to it. If there is a car seat near by- better hope your baby isn't in it! She's not afraid to give lots of kisses and has been known to try and pick them up. My cousin recently sent us a baby announcement and I hung it on the fridge. A little while later Kate was screaming 'BABY' while standing by the fridge and pointing to the picture. She hasn't forgotten about it or put it down yet! She can be found walking around the house and talking to the baby all day long. We better not lose that picture or we're in big trouble! She's pretty cute!

"Nature Hike"

Today was an overcast day-and a perfect day for a hike. Evan's preschool class meets next to Penasquitos canyon so they often take "nature hikes". Today when we suggested going for a hike to see the waterfall, he jumped up and said "a nature hike?!". A nature hike is was. Evan rode his bike all the way there and back - a four mile roundtrip- pretty impressive for a four year old! When we got back to the car he just laid on the sidewalk while we put things away. We also were treated to a nap from both kids! Making a hike with a 18 month old and a four year old totally worth it!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great this year. Paul was out of town and it was truly mother ALL DAY LONG! The following week, Evan's school put on a mother's day program, and this was the only face he would make for me. I guess sometime's you just take what you can get! Very funny my little jokester!

Family

This past Sunday we went up to Pomona to celebrate the newest addition to the family tree. My cousin Christopher and his wife Anna blessed baby Annika. It was great to see my aunt and a few other cousins as well. I've been away from family so long that I forget how awesome it is to be with those who really know and love the best of you. It was a great day surrounded with cousins and second cousins. Evan loves going to their house because it has grass. One day son, we'll have grass at our house too! I hope that when we do get that grass- we'll have lots of family to run in it.
