Daddy's Helper

Evan HEARTS Riley

We had lots of visitors this month! Paul's brother Peter came out to visit and brought his lovely fiance Jessie with him. Then my dad and niece Riley followed a few hours later. We had a fun trip! Evan loves, loves, loves Riley. After she left I was wondering where I could rent an 8 year old! Turns out my baby is ready for a sibling or something like that. Evan followed her wherever she went and she was the best cousin ever because I know how old it can get to have a shadow!

I can't seem to make this video center, but here it is anyway. Ignore my room- like I said we had lots of company so you have to keep the rest of the house clean- no one is supposed to see the stuff you stuffed in your room to make it look as though your organized and clean! Like I said whatever Riley did, so did Evan. It was a great week.

Wild Animal Park

Day at the Beach

We spent one of the two dry days at the beach. Evan HEARTS Riley! Evan chased birds and Riley did her best to make the most of the warm day and cold water.
Beach aftermath! These two totally zonked out after there day of sun and sand.
How cute are they?

Day at the Park

We spent one rainy Saturday up in Huntington Beach. The kids were cooped up all day so we took them to the park when it was dry enough to play. Everyone had a great time- Evan loved having a different park to explore and Paul took the opportunity to explore with him.

GH

Let me start off by claiming that I never watch soaps. I understood some years ago no matter what soap opera it is, it's the same show- different year. But today in between cleaning my bathrooms for company and doing laundry, I sat down to eat. I flipped through the channels and decided to mix it up a little bit- add some variety to my afternoon TV. There was lots of good stuff on, "confessions of a teen idol", "rock of love", a rerun on HGTV and TLC, but I decided I'd check out GH. Has any one seen it lately? I have no idea what is going on, but for the first time in my whole life I saw something that I thought I'd never see- the token ugly guy. They have a very unfortunate looking castmember. And to make things worse they make him talk like yoda. A beautiful girl is somewhat in love with him, but she can't show it. I know why- cause he's ugly. It's the reverse ugly duckling story- only I'm not sure they can make him handsome. I'm all for equal opportunity, but I think it's mean to put someone less attractive in the looks department into a sea of beautiful people. It's only gonna make you look uglier! EVERYONE knows that! Why do pretty girls make friends with not so pretty girls- so they can be the prettiest one. I'm making this dude my new cause. I think it's some form of exploitation. I can only hope that in real life this guy is now getting chicks because he is on TV.
