In no particular order..

We went to Paul's cousins wedding and he crashed! Mind you their was a full blown dance party going on outside, and he didn't notice. You know he's done for when the party's going, the dance floor is hoppin' and we are taking pictures of him without him even stirring!
I love a tired boy! I know he's mine, but I just think he is the cutest boy ever. Kudos to dad for the perfect transfer.
We went to an Easter egg hunt in the park, but Evan wasn't so interested in hunting eggs, so we took advantage of the empty jumpie. He loved it.
We spent the weekend with our friends Mandy and Jason up in the O.C. Mandy's parents are always kind enough to have us over for the best Sunday dinners! Evan loved their toys, the turtles and the yard. He will find any Thomas and make it his.

I never blog about music mostly because "Pop goes the weasel" isn't exactly cool, and I'm totally out of the loop, but I was listening to the radio today (I HEART satellite radio) and heard a fantastic song. If you know me, you know I prefer all Brit pop to most of the decent stuff we Americans put out. You won't hear Nickelback on most BBC stations (I know their Canadian, but we American's support that crap!). Gosh I sound like such a snob- and truthfully I can't even carry that title anymore! Anyway the artist is Jack Penate- he's been around for a little while but his latest two singles are killer. First single- Today's Tonight. Love it! Next single is Be the One- awesome! I love songs that have great lyrics, good melody's and make you want to dance. I guess that the album doesn't come out until June, but I will be waiting patiently until then. It sounds awesome!

IT"S A.......

GIRL!!!!!!!!!
I would post the ultrasound pic, but there is a disconnect between me and the scanner! We are so excited to have a girl!
I've been asking Evan for a few weeks if we were having a brother of a sister, but he never gave me an answer. Last week he was giving my belly a kiss then he looked at me and said "siser". It was super cute, I got teary eyed, and he turned out to be right! He will be getting a sister somewhere around October 12.

Alone time...

Something I haven't had enough of lately. After saying goodbye to out latest batch of visitors, sending Paul off to a wedding and putting Evan to bed, I can't believe how quite it is. This is what heaven must be like. No TV, basketball playoffs, no washing machine or dishwasher running, no need to converse with anyone, just me blog stalking with no interruptions. Heaven.
Pregnancy is not a girls best friend (at least not this girls!) and after a mental breakdown yesterday, a feeling ugly, fat and totally unstylish day today, a few more nights of this quiet might just be the cure!

Easter and spring greetings!

I had a big Easter dream of posting a picture of my little dude in his cute searsucker easter outfit on here, but they gave him chocolate in nursery and by the time we made it home he was covered in m&m's. It has been a busy few weeks and I have totally neglected posting, let alone take any pictures. Let's just say pregnancy #2 hasn't been so great. I have spent the majority of my time on the couch and trying to play, read and do as much mothering as I can. Not exactly mother of the year, but I'm hoping that things will turn around and I can go back to what we call normal. We did take Evan to SeaWorld with my cousin Chris and his family. We had him all psyched out to see Shamoo, but I don't think he was planning on Shamoo being a whale. The second he came out of the water, he started sobbing! He was terrified! It was pretty funny. Then we took him to go see Elmo, that didn't go as planned either. I forgot the 3D movies have water, wind and other special effects that would freak out a boy who wasn't expecting it. The good news is he still loves "melmo" and he talks about "mamoo" even if he didn't like them in real life. I figure if we keep going, he eventually like it right?
We spent a weekend up on the OC with our friends Mandy and Jason. We sure miss our friends up there! Evan got to play with Luke or "guke" the whole weekend and he still talks about him. He had a blast riding bikes, playing trains, and racing cars in the back yard. Thanks guys for letting us crash- we loved it. We are just waiting for you to come play with us in SD.
Special thanks go out to my Chris and Anna who drove all the way from Pamona to bring us Easter dinner! How much better could my family get?! Evan was glad to see Scout, and I was happy to play with Charlie- who is officially the nicest baby ever. We love you guys!
That is a quick update, I do have a few pics to post- I'll get on that tomorrow!

It's somebody's birthday!

Remember this little guy? I remember him thanks to pictures. The idea of him ever being so tiny is foreign. I still think he's the cutest baby I've ever seen though! He's so big now! He's talking quite a bit. His favorite words are yes and no. He actually prefers the yes to the no. Its so fun communicating using his little vocabulary. He copies everything. He loves to dance and has become quite the singer! He still loves Thomas the train, loves to read, Curious George is his new favorite cartoon and he loves his mama. I can't believe he's 2! Happy Birthday monkey!

February

We had a lot of stuff going on this month! I had a lot of pictures to go through and a lot of editing to do. So, here is what we have been up to lately...

Who needs to eat your food when you can just make your trains eat it for you? Note to self- the trains no longer are welcome at the table.
My cousin Chris blessed his baby on Sunday. It gave us a chance to get to see my auntie Cindy, Jodi and baby Grey, and hang out with my family. It's nice to have a reason to get together! By the way if anyone's knows any single guys in their 50's (who aren't socially retarded, broke, or totally saddled with issues) I'm willing to set them up with my aunt. She's going to love me for this one day!
